How the sea monitoring system works
All swimming spots in Novalja are part of the national water-quality monitoring programme run by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries. Samplings are carried out multiple times per week during the season, and the results are publicly available. For the 2025 season, a total of 15 bathing areas are shown.

The 'excellent' rating was awarded to 15 out of 15 swimming spots in Novalja. This is in line with the EU Bathing Water Directive and means that microbiological parameters are below threshold values. Examples: Braničevica, Caska, Kustići.
